Tips & Info

Eagle Point
This area was named due to the eagle-shaped ridge. According to traditional Hualapai oral legend, the ancient locals lived in the valley totally unaware of the impending flash flood. The Great Creator then sent a divine eagle to warn them of the flood, and the messenger perched atop the cliff and merged with the rock into the form it is today. Bald eagles are also a common sight, which adds to the character of the area’s namesake.

Guano Point
Located at a great bend in the Grand Canyon, Guano Point offers sweeping panoramic view of the entire West Rim. The view includes the calm flow of the Colorado River. Beyond that the river can be followed by sight into the distant cluster of mountain ranges. All these elements combine to form a surreal dreamscape that needs to be seen to be believed! This vantage point offers the best view in all of the Grand Canyon West.

The Hualapai Experience
The Native American villiage includes authentic dwellings. The Hualapai Bird Singers use storytelling, song, dance, and regalia to share traditions carried on by generations of the Hualapai Nations.

Optional Skywalk
Guests may choose to upgrade their visit to include the famous Skywalk bridge. This state-of-the art open-air glass walkway is an architectural marvel which extends 70 feet from the cliff of Eagle Point rim and hangs over the edge, 4000 feet above the canyon floor. Built by the Hualapai Tribe at the Canyon’s West Rim, the Skywalk provides you a stunning new perspective, allowing “720-degree” breathtaking views of one of nature’s most fantastic displays.

Optional Helicopter Air Tour
Expand your experience with a helicopter tour! Each helicopter is built with large vista windows for minimal obstructive view, maneuverable more than enough to hover over the rim and dance through the airspace between canyon walls. The distinctly colored layers of rock sedimentation can be clearly distinguished when you are flying right up to it. The chance to experience it all and leave with an unforgettable memory as it is not something to be missed.

Optional Helicopter & Boat Tour
You may choose to upgrade your visit to descend to the Grand Canyon floor for a completely new experience and canyon view. Start by boarding a million-dollar helicopter equipped with forward facing seats and large vista windows and be awe-struck by the seemingly expanding and deepening stone walls as you descend a mile below the rim to the canyon floor. Upon landing, board a waiting pontoon boat for a calm cruise down the Colorado River, the same river that helped carve the Grand Canyon into what it is today. Then re-board the helicopter for your ascent to the canyon rim above for another chance at marveling the spectacular view this time from the bottom to the top. The helicopter combined flight time is approximately 15 minutes, and the boat ride is about 15-20 minutes. The helicopter can take 5-6 guests depending on weight.
