What is the difference between the South Rim, West Rim and North Rim of the Grand Canyon?

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is located within Grand Canyon National Park, and offers the most services, such as accommodations, dining options and other park services. It receives the most visitors throughout the year. It is about a 4 ½ hour drive from Las Vegas. A National Park Service entrance fee is required to enter the park.
The West Rim of the Grand Canyon is owned by the Hualapai Nation and is a separate from the National Park Service. It is most famous for its glass bridge Skywalk, and has other activities such as a zipline, helicopter flights, and Hualapai Ranch. It is located much closer to Las Vegas, about at 2 ½ hour drive.
The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is also part of Grand Canyon National Park. Only 10% of visitors to Grand Canyon National Park visit the North Rim area.
